About Evelyn McCormack

Evelyn McCormack is Director of Communications for Southern Westchester BOCES, an educational organization in Westchester County, NY. The Public Information Office headed up by Ms. McCormack produces 48 publications a year for public school districts in the region. McCormack is also a freelance writer whose work appears online and in print. For 18 years, Ms. McCormack worked in print journalism at a group of daily newspapers located in White Plains, NY, where she rose in the ranks to the position of Senior Managing Editor before taking the mommy track for a brief period of time. She entered the public relations field 16 years ago. She is a frequent presenter on the topics of Web 2.0 and social media for the educational and non-profit community.
